He ate the little meal laid out for him with one hand, setting it to his knee so he could drink water too. His other hand was plenty occupied reaching out to stroke between Gabriel's shoulder blades, liking the fact that he could be in physical contact with another living thing and it not be weird. Sometimes, as a blind man, he preferred to have touch involved rather than his magical sight.

"That sounds good to me. We can age it out too if we want before cooking it," he murmured, thinking it might tenderize the meat. They wouldn't be here long enough that it would work out, unfortunately. "We should be good on water, yeah? I noticed you boiled some up."

He finished off his breakfast and licked his fingers before downing the rest of the water left for him. It was good and refreshing, something he probably needed more than he would admit.

"Are you alright if we do this and I don't have my sight on?" He didn't trust anyone with that, but Gabriel had already been established as safe for him.
