The difficulty would come if anyone took an active interest in them. "Finding inns and barns to sleep in isn't a problem. Except he had never taken a trainee, so they better not run into Guild hunters who might question it.
He was aware of Gabriel moving, and their shoulders brushed at the gorgon's movements. It seemed to him that it was comfortable here, the warmth growing as their blankets insulated them. His fingertips ran over scales, tracing each one. They were excellent for tactile stimulation.
He grunted softly. "People don't like my scars. They either think I'm cursed or easy pickings for robbery." He lay his cheek on those scales, feeling that they were both cool and warm underneath. "I keep myself apart, so I expect much of my issue is personal. You can't lose what you don't have, right?"
