Once they were both clean, he rose again from his spot and returned to the bathroom in order to rinse out the cloth and set it to dry. They would, no doubt, be using it again in not too long of a time at the rate that he could smell Gabe's heat rising slow and steady. His rut scent was following suit, he knew, and they would be involved within the hour, probably less.
He returned with a stretch of his arms above his head and then touching the raised red marks of Gabe's claws on his chest. He was keenly aware of the ones spanning his back as well, felt them with each flex of his shoulders. He took a moment to admire the sight of Gabe, naked and flushed, hair still slick with sweat but looking bright and alert.
He pulled the comforter back, letting it hang off the end of the bed. They may need it, who knew. He slipped back on the bed, taking the water bottle and drinking some down for himself. Best to keep hydrated at the rate they were going.
At least they had a small moment of clarity before the next wave. "I see the suppressants didn't work for either of us, hmm?"
