By the end of it Gabriel was helping Jack with dragging back kindling, and then pulling him inside of their shelter with it.Ducking the both of them in and using some bit of tarp to better seal them in to try and help insulate a bit. There was of course a hole in there for air and, well, better to let out smoke for what little fire they might start.

Even if it took a little force after Gabriel moved down to sit, back pressed against a wall, he pulled Jack down in to his lap.
